Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower, the symbol of the Paris & France, is amongst the most visited monuments in the world. It was built by Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World❜s Fair. Visitors can walk up to the first floor or can take an elevator to the top to see & capture the scenic & panoramic views of the city. The night view of the Eiffel Tower is amazing, as thousands of flickering bulbs make it sparkle leaving everyone in awe. The Eiffel Tower Gardens has been landscaped in the Belle Epoque style. There are leafy trees providing shade to the pedestrian pathways leading to ponds, grotto, & belvederes with viewpoints of the Iron Lady of France.

Musée du Louvre

Once a royal palace, Musée du Louvre has been a witness to 8 centuries of French history. Within its premises is a glass pyramid, Pyramid du Louvre, designed by Ieoh Ming Pei in 1917. The entire museum has been divided into 8 departments - Egyptian Antiquities, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities; Near Eastern Antiquities, Greek, Decorative Arts; Paintings; Sculptures; Prints and Drawings; & Islamic Art. The Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Seated Scribe, the Winged Bulls of Khorsabad, the Mona Lisa and Michelangelo’s Slaves, and parts of the palace, such as the Napoleon III Apartments, are some of the world-famous masterpieces here.

Sainte-Chapelle

Sainte-Chapelle is believed to be a rare jewel from the medieval era houses of worship. It is certainly one of the most graceful & magnificent churches in Paris. This 13th century chapel is lies just few minute-walk away from the Notre-Dame Cathedral. It was built in between 1242-1248 in Rayonnant Gothic architecture. Highlight here include altar displaying a relic of the Crown of Thorns & 15 stained-glass windows depicting nearly 1000 scenes from the Bible (both Old & New Testament). Open to public as a museum, it is used for church services on rare occasions.

Seine River

Flowing through the heart of the city, River Seine is amongst the famous waterways throughout the world. Flowing from east to west, the river divides the city into Left Bank & Right Bank. Serving as a major transportation route & a reliable water supply, Seine River is a lifeline for the locals. The river has been listed under UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its cultural significance. There are several vacation spots on both sides with little resorts, lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, & palm trees. Several recreational activities like table football & mini golf games for kids are also available here.
