The Polynesian Cultural Center is a living cultural museum featuring 6 villages. Along with traditional Hawaiian villages, there are villages representing islands of Tonga, Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, & Aotearoa (Maori). Alii Luau the main attraction here with complete live entertainment. Visitors can indulge in various activities like fishing with authentic Tahitian gear, watching a traditional Maori warrior dance, & canoeing through a Tonga village.
Pearl Harbor National Memorial
The Pearl Harbor National Memorial is a place where one can learn about World War II. It is home to USS Arizona Memorial, USS Utah Memorial, & USS Oklahoma Memorial. USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place of more than sailors & Marines. At the visitor center here, one can also watch a film about the attack & visit museums.
Iolani, a National Historic Landmark was the official residence of the Hawaiin Kingdom❜s last two monarchs - King Kalakaua & his sister & successor Queen Liliuokalani. After restoration, it was opened as a museum around 1978. Museum❜s interior has elaborately carved wood paneling made from native woods. The throne room still has the original carved Throne & chandelier. Its facade is adorned with stained glasses & detailed decorations. The Iolani Palace has been listed under National Register of Historic Places.
