Boston (officially the City of Boston) is the capital city of Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The trail starts from Boston Common Visitor Center & ends at the USS Constitution in Charlestown.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall Marketplace includes 3 long halls - North Market, South Market, & Quincy Market. Dating back to the early 19th century is now occupied by various shops, restaurants, & exhibitions. Street performers & buskers can be seen performing on the square around the market. Also, several food stalls & shops selling jewelry, clothes, gifts, & souvenirs are available here.
On the west side of the Charles Street is the Public Garden of Boston. Spread over nearly 24 acres land, it is the oldest botanical garden of America. There are several Victorian style monuments & statues here including statue of George Washington & a popular bronzes of a family of ducks. The most loved experience for people of all ages is a ride on the famous Swan Boats in the lake sitting in the center of the Public Garden.
Boston Museum of Fine Arts
The Boston Museum of Fine Arts is one of the leading art museums in the country. It holds various collections like ancient Egyptian treasures, Impressionist paintings, works from ancient Greece & Middle East, & Asian & Persian fine arts. Lately, an entire American Wing has been created here to display collections of American paintings, decorative arts, folk art, furniture, silver, glassware, designs from pre-Columbian arts, Art Deco, & Modernist Era; all in chronological order.
